Celebration of the Diamond Jubilee

Manitoba will join Canada's other provinces and territories in celebrating the Diamond Jubilee of Elizabeth II's reign as Queen. February 6, 2012 marks her 60th year as Queen of Canada.

Manitobans can visit the Manitoba Legislative Building to sign a commemorative book of celebration located in the foyer and to view a special royal visit photos exhibit. The photo exhibit will be in place for three months. A special commemorative book will also travel to several communities throughout the province later in the year.

An architectural lighting display of the Legislative Building will begin on Monday February 6 at 6:00 p.m. This display can be seen each evening from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. until Sunday, February 12.

Online congratulations can be sent through the Canadian Heritage Diamond Jubilee website.
